To learn how to get more involved in your community, talk to either me (limited information) or Bethany Such at bsuch@cascaida.edu or whom ever your teacher is that your currently taking, they should be able to guide you where you need to go. I feel it's a very important step in college life to be able to give back to your community, gives you that sense of accomplishment and also helps you realize what's really going on out there. And since it is so important to do, Students in Service is a great way to begin, especially since it helps with your college tuition or student loans!
