It's EASY! You need to go to their website and contact the office local to you (Seattle) and set up an appointment to meet with someone there. You then go over your hopes and aspirations when being a big brother/sister. They set you up with someone that best fits you and them, it takes up to two months for this process. Then your set to go! It's a one year commitment, but people often go beyond that.

BIG BROTHERS ARE NEEDED DESPERATELY!!!! There are over 400 little brothers in waiting for a big brothers and there are new opportunities for less of a commitment for big brother's for this reason alone. It is a sports program in which your set up with your little brother and then can sign up for pre-set dates made by BBBS to play these sports. For more info go to www.bbbs.org.

I loved our community civic engagment event!! What a pleasure to know students who are involved in democracy as a lively process that includes networking, community organizing and sharing perspectives about the candidates for the President of the United States. I appreciated seeing my students return to campus with families and friends in tow to enjoy the presidential debate and share a meal to the DJ's songlist. Thank you to David Ortiz, Danielle Powell, Erin Richards and Todd Lundberg for your presence. How wonderful for State Senator Rosemary McAuliffe to share her time with us. There is so much more to say. Thanks to all who joined the dialogue.
