from a favorite poem, We are Dust and Dreams, by A.E. Housman:

But oh, whate'er the sky-led seasons mar,
Moon upon moon rebuilds it with her beam;

I can taste your name
And smell your touch
A thousand dreams away….

You were my sweet vacation
Often I would think of you
Drifting off
To somewhere
Over fences
Across the sea
And at times staring into the sea
You asked me to meet you in the middle of it
you told me you would take my hand there if you could show me anything

You were my sunrise
My sky blue pink
And I would smell all the flowers in the garden
Worries left at the door
A sweet place to be for hours at a time

You took me from the harsh reality
To fields of lavender
Peaceful where I could imagine myself growing old

It was there
My eyes danced
My heart raced
And you were warm
My Chair

You were a figment of my imagination
And oh how I dreamed
Full of 'em
Laced with escape routes into you

You wanted me to have your heart
Now you want it back

You bet I wouldn’t leave
Everyone thinks I am safe bet
