So I'm sitting here trying to link a DJ and voting. I'm suspicious that to my generation (I'm old), there isn't a big link. Carter did not, that I know of, have a theme song in 1980. Voting doesn't feel to me like a high energy, entertaining act. It is the result of deliberation and commitment to a community.

So what does music add? Inspiration. I heard a young woman being interviewed this morning. She was voting for Obama because he is inspiring. I admit, I thought (and probably muttered), "That's not enough to base a vote on, is it?"

Well, is it?
